Facilities of The Guildhall at SMU
The Guildhall at SMU has been equipped as a state-of-the-industry facility to educate students in the theory and craft of digital game development in an environment that closely simulates the real-world experience. Entering students each receive a top-of-the line laptop computer and all the hardware and software required for the 17-month journey of professional education. Upon graduation, students leave with a world-class professional education, a portfolio that showcases personal and team work, and yes, the laptop.

Technology at The Guildhall at SMU
Our space is designed to support creative expression, whether individual or team based, and includes a complete professional motion capture studio; a high-definition editing studio; dedicated breakout areas for small group projects; and complete game development studios dedicated to large student teams for their capstone projects.
Classrooms each support up to 30 students. Every classroom features an overhead LCD projector connected to a teaching station which is equipped with a combination DVD/VHS player, and a computer.
Student and faculty mobility are encouraged by our high-capacity network with full bandwidth wired connections in lecture halls, breakout rooms, labs, and studios, as well as wireless connectivity throughout The Guildhall at SMU.

Located in Plano, Texas, SMU-in-Plano is home to the Hart eCenter and The Guildhall at SMU. The campus provides facilities and technology to complement the program's cutting-edge curriculum and expert instructors.
In addition to The Guildhall at SMU, SMU-in-Plano provides resources, such as the world renowned SMU Conflict Resolution Graduate Program, designed to meet the graduate educational needs of students learning to function more competitively in today's global business environment. Both The SMU Lyle School of Engineering and the SMU Cox School of Business provide evening and professional masters degree programs at SMU-in-Plano.
